Legendäre Amps haben mich schon immer interessiert. So viel die Wahl für mein neues Projekt schnell auf den JTM45, natürlich mit 2x KT66 und möglichst guten Transformatoren. Die kommen in diesem Fall von Welter und haben sich bestens bewährt.
Der Verstärker besticht durch fast absolute Ruhe im Leerlauf, aber wehe man greift in die Saiten. Er spricht sehr schnell an und gibt die Töne der Gitarre klar und deutlich differenzierbar wieder. Laut genug ist er allemal dabei.
Legendary amps were always on top of my special interest. Consequently the choice for my next project was the JTM45, of course equipped with two KT66 and the best available transformers. These were available from Welter, Germany and they are really a good choice. Unfortunately Mr. Welter has resigned from production.
The amp is absolutely quiet when running idle but take care if you hit the strings. The tone rises immediately and is clear and differentiable and provides by far enough power.
